Survey on the AR Editor tool for teachers – participation until December 11
02|12|2025 – We are currently working with students at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences on a new AR editor tool that will enable teachers to design their own AR content intuitively and without any prior technical knowledge. We need your help to ensure that this tool addresses the real challenges of everyday teaching.
The survey is open until December 11 and only takes a few minutes to complete. All feedback will be directly incorporated into further development. Click here to take the survey:

Revised accompanying materials for “Journey to the Arctic” – now available nationwide
29|11|2025 – We are delighted that the accompanying materials for “Journey to the Arctic” are now available in a comprehensively revised version. All content has been adapted linguistically and didactically so that it can be used across all federal states – regardless of local curriculum formulations.
Another new feature is the option to use all materials as digitally fillable PDFs. This allows students to work on tasks directly on a tablet or computer – ideal for modern teaching, project days, or workshop formats.
At the same time, classic print templates are still available. We are currently working on an offer for ready-made, printed booklets, which will be available to order directly from our shop in the future. The accompanying materials are suitable for designing workshops and interactive activities to complement the escape room. They contain tasks for grades 5 and above using real climate data and were developed in collaboration with the Meereisportal of the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar Research.

Nomination of Franziska Weser for the Saxony Female Founders Award
27|11|2025 – We are delighted that Franziska Weser, founder of Heartucate, has been nominated for the Saxony Female Founder Award. The award, presented by the Saxony state government, honors female entrepreneurs who break new ground with their ideas and provide significant impetus for the economy and society.
The nomination is a strong recognition of her ongoing commitment to making immersive learning formats accessible to schools and educational institutions through augmented reality. It also underscores the importance of female founders in the technology and education industries.

XRplorer Day 2025 at Deutsches Museum Munich
19|11|2025 – At this year’s XPLORER Day 2025 at the Deutsches Museum in Munich, visitors were able to experience our interactive AR experiences up close. “Journey to the Arctic” in particular attracted a lot of attention: teachers, educational institutions, and tech-savvy visitors showed keen interest in our approach to making learning worlds immediately accessible through augmented reality. In addition to a full workshop on augmented reality learning experiences, Bavarian Minister of Digital Affairs Dr. Fabian Mehring also visited our booth to learn more about the Arctic.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to present Heartucate in a museum and scientific setting and to make new contacts who will further advance our vision of immersive education. It was organized by XR Hub Bavaria.

Pilot phase launched with media education centers in Saxony
01|09|2025 – Heartucate is launching a comprehensive pilot phase in collaboration with the Media Education Centers (MPZs) in Saxony. Each institution will receive a free workshop package consisting of:
- 2 tracker mats,
- a free license for use until the fall break,
- material packages, and promotional materials for schools.
The aim is to make it easy for schools to use “Journey to the Arctic” and to jointly evaluate which formats and accompanying materials offer the greatest added value for teachers. The pilot phase is an important step toward rolling out the program nationwide and anchoring it more firmly in the school context.
